9 Steps to Keep the Doctor Away  -Dr. Rashid Buttar

Early on in my journey, this was the very first “health related” book that I had ever read, which little did I know, was planting the seeds for an empowered way of living for years to come. This isn’t your average “health book”. For me, this book was a beacon of hope while battling a health challenge that conventional medicine did not have an answer for. Their solution for a relentless recurring bacterial infection that would not resolve was to keep throwing antibiotics at it for an indefinite amount of time. But why was this happening? Why couldn’t my immune system handle this? And how could I find long-term resolve?

9 Steps to Keep the Doctor Away” was full of wisdom and inspiration in the midst of chaos. Suddenly, the dots connected: our world, our bodies, they're riddled with toxins – the silent saboteurs behind the root cause of all disease. BOOM! A light bulb went off! This wasn’t just about zapping germs, it was about a total mind-body makeover.

  • Nutrition & Supplementation: A superpower fuel for health & regeneration

  • Sleep: A recharge of my warrior spirit

  • Meditation: No longer woo-woo and became a staple to keep stress levels down

  • Water: Life-giving

  • Laughter: The best medicine

  • Exercise: Key to unlocking energy, clarity, and creativity

My confidence soared, my mood lifted, and abundance? No longer a distant mirage, it started taking shape with every conscious step I took, each and every day.

9 Steps to Keep the Doctor Away” showed me that taking control of my health was possible, one choice at a time!

Can our mind and thoughts alone truly heal us? Once dismissed as mere speculation, this question is capturing the attention of the scientific community. If such questions resonate with you, then Dr. Joe Dispenza's "You are the Placebo" offers a compelling roadmap for exploring the mind-body connection at a profound level. This book served as a pivotal cornerstone in my own understanding of the influence that our thoughts and subconscious beliefs exert on our well-being.

Unveiling the Obstacles: One of the subtle yet significant roadblocks to vibrant well-being lies within the negative attitudes we sometimes carry. Harboring hatred, envy, or jealousy can, over time, subtly shape themselves into physical manifestations of disease. Unexpressed emotions we suppress often find hidden ways to manifest, transforming into discomfort or imbalance within our bodies. This concept resonated deeply with me during my own healing journey as I witnessed how suppressed emotions subtly impacted my physical well-being.

Facing My Frozen Reality: In 2022, I found myself confronting this truth head-on. Diagnosed with adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder), a condition that rendered my right arm virtually immobile and riddled with pain, I was left questioning if normalcy, let alone basic activities would ever return. Despair, however, was not an option. Instead, I saw this as an opportunity to put years of training and advocacy as a natural health coach to the ultimate test.

From Immobilization to Transformation: Armed with the knowledge from countless resources, including Dr. Joe Dispenza’s, "You are the Placebo," I embarked on a self-healing odyssey. Meditation, mindful visualization, and the power of intention became one of the pillars of my recovery. In the absence of physical movement, I embraced the inner landscape, meticulously visualizing scenes of my arm's complete mobility. I saw myself dancing, engaging in daily tasks, even performing yoga poses – not merely picturing the actions, but acutely feeling the joy and freedom they embodied. It was, in essence, a process of rewiring my brain and body to co-create a new reality.

The Metamorphosis: Two years later, I'm not just pain-free. My shoulder rotates with full mobility, and my energy soars. My frozen shoulder became a vessel, forging my passion for empowering others to unlock their own potential. It serves as a constant reminder of the infinite potential that lies within each of us, a testament to the enduring resilience of the human spirit and the irrefutable link between our thoughts and our physical well-being.

The Power of Your Internal Narrator: Dr. Dispenza eloquently distills the latest research in neuroscience, biology, and quantum physics, demystifying the intricate dance between our thoughts and our physical form. He sheds light on how our internal landscapes, sculpted by our thoughts and beliefs, send potent signals to our bodies, dictating the production of hormones and chemicals that ultimately shape our health. In this light, I invite you to pause for a moment and honestly evaluate the narrative playing out within your own mind. Are your thoughts sending your body messages of health and vitality, or that of disease and distress? Remember, the power to rewrite your story lies within the very fabric of your being. Choose wisely, and witness the extraordinary potential that unfolds!

Returning to the saga of the frozen shoulder, a question loomed in the background: "WHY?" Why did my shoulder all of the sudden lock up from its intended purpose? This persisted in the back of my mind until one day the pieces of the puzzle clicked into place.

As my arm gradually rediscovered its mobility, I sought to reintroduce it to the joy of movement. My first venture back into the realm of physical activity was a dance-yoga class, where I cautiously walked into class, greeted the instructor, and let her know that I still wasn’t fully recovered from my injury. With a kind smile, she acknowledged my limitations and encouraged my valiant effort. It was then that she mentioned a book that resonated with her own journey — "Your Body Speaks Your Mind" by Deb Shapiro.

Intrigued, I delved into the excerpt she shared, one that focused specifically on the shoulders. Three sentences, seemingly ripped from the pages of my own story, transfixed me:

"The heart energy comes up to the shoulders and out to manifest in your arms, in hugging and touching, caring and sharing. It should be a smooth expression, but often there are blocks along the way, causing pain and stiffness — if you are hugging the wrong person, or feel your advances are being rejected, or you are fearful of intimacy. This can manifest in a frozen shoulder, an indication of where emotional coldness is affecting you, either come from another to you, or from you toward someone else."

These words mirrored, with precision, the unresolved emotional knots I was struggling with in my own life. It was as if my shoulder, in its stillness, had become a living metaphor for the landscapes within.

"Your Body Speaks Your Mind" is not merely a book; it is a guide for deciphering the often-cryptic language of our ailments. By understanding how our bodies communicate with us, we are empowered to take an active role in our own healing. We become interpreters of our own narratives, unearthing the hidden stories woven into the very fabric of our physical experiences. It is a potent reminder that within us lies the potential to not only decode, but rewrite, the script of our well-being.
